Trauma Clinic

Our trauma clinic is intended for the post injury management of Trauma patients managed by our unit.
Occasionally, patients who have been cared for out of area may be deemed appropriate to review in this clinic. The Surgeon referring the patient needs to contact the TACS Trauma Surgeon directly.

We are keen to ensure that we follow-up all our patients who have:

  • Poly-trauma/multi system injured patients discharged from our Trauma Unit
  • Solid organ injury patients – e.g. splenic or liver injury
  • Complex or geriatric chest trauma (rib fractures)
  • Had a surgical procedure by our Trauma Unit

An appointment for your follow-up should have been made for you at the time of discharge from hospital. You will be contacted regarding your appointment time by mail. If you have not been contacted or are unsure about your appointments, please do not hesitate to contact us.
